Grant-Writing & Communication Consultant
Lauren Yates is a full-time grant-writing and communication consultant. Her clients include the Arts & Cultural Attractions Council, the Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics Network, the Agribusiness Industry Network, Nativity Academy and several others.
Her expertise includes successfully funded grant-writing with a variety of nonprofit organizations and associations with regional and national private foundations and corporations, as well as with federal grant opportunities. Lauren also has an extensive background in public relations including marketing, corporate communications, event planning, writing and facilitation management. She has been accredited by the National Public Relations Society of America. APR is a mark of distinction for public relations professionals who demonstrate their commitment to the profession and to its ethical practice, and who are selected based on broad knowledge, strategic perspective and sound professional judgment.
She is the past president of the Bluegrass Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, past president of both the East Louisville Rotary Club and the Trimble County Rotary Club, where she was named Rotarian of the Year in 1998.
A life-long resident of Louisville and a graduate of the University of Louisville, Lauren has also been named to the 2000 Business First 40 Under 40 List of young professionals under the age of 40 who have proven through their career and civic accomplishments that they will be the future leaders of our community. She is a graduate of Focus Louisville.
