Chris Stevenson
Consultant

Chris has over 12 years experience in nonprofit management and is currently President and CEO of Cedar Lake. Previously serving as Director of Development for the Cedar Lake Foundation he assisted in the management of a $16 million foundation and assisted in two multi-million dollar capital campaigns, raising record amounts for two consecutive years before his departure.

As the Executive Director of Apple Patch Community, Inc, the nation’s first integrated neighborhood designed specifically for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Chris and his team designed and implemented an exciting strategic plan that transformed the nonprofit from a financially struggling group that served only 8 people to a $4.2 million business that serves over 120 individuals – all in just four years.

In addition to his work with Ashley | Rountree and Associates, Chris has taught management and marketing classes at Sullivan University for the past 8 years and taught “Fundraising: Principles and Practices” at Bellarmine University for three years. The main focus in all of his classes is the importance of long-term strategic planning. “Creating a thorough strategic plan not only keeps everyone on task…” comments Chris, “…but it keeps the passion for the organization’s mission and vision alive!”

Chris received his Masters in Business Administration from Sullivan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and received his Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University’s Center on Philanthropy.
